    Anna began her first career working in the financial industry. She was brought to the yoga mat to find balance, and after 12 years of working in finance, the yoga practice gave her the courage to leave Wall Street, follow her dreams of becoming an entrepreneur and yoga instructor, and in turn, encourage others to discover their true potential.

    She received her teaching certification in vinyasa and hot power yoga at Pure Yoga NYC in 2012. Her instruction emphasizes power of the breath and abdominal core work to connect with the body. She encourages her students to work honestly at their edges, incorporating long holds in standing series with a calm intensity and focus on alignment. Anna loves to incorporate music playlists in her classes to make yoga fun and accessible.

    Anna has been passionate about fitness her entire life. She began her yoga practice in late 2000 with Hatha and hot power yoga classes while training for her second-degree black belt in tae kwon-do. As she competed in other athletic endeavors such as tennis, marathons and triathlons, she saw the great benefits of yoga, not only to aid in range of motion and injury prevention but also to strengthen the mind and live authentically.

    She is currently teaching public and private yoga classes and co-owns tanya-b, an urban yoga lifewear company. The collection has quickly become an athleisure staple, designed to be sexy yet functional, inspired by the busy urban lifestyle, so each piece can go from the studio to “real life”.  From Hong Kong to New York, the brand has become a hit, gaining momentum through collaborative partnerships with the people, brands, and charities that align with its vision.
